About

Alclad II Lacquers was formed in 1999 in England with the aim of providing modellers with a range of easy to use realistic Natural Metal Finishes. The initial range of 3 colours was expanded during the next year and included the benchmark product Alclad Chrome for plastic #107.

During 2001 5 paints for Lexan/Polycarbonate Radio Control cars were introduced. The current product listing comprises of 23 metal finishes, 5 special effect finishes, 9 transparent colours, 3 primers/base coats, and also Micromesh polishing cloths.

In 2001 U.K. production was supplemented with a facility in the U.S.A. and they now jointly serve the European, North American, Australasian and Far East markets.

Research and development is on-going as new materials and coating technologies are tested and explored.

Alclad II quickly became many modellers preferred choice for Natural Metal Finishes. The quality of Alclad II has led to its diverse use including architectural models, custom built motorcycles, Hollywood special effects, BVMJets flying model aircraft, angling accessories, and special projects at Universal Studios Orlando.
